Painting and Decorative Finishes
Code of Operations
We use quality, name brand materials. We have ready access to a wide variety of
brands of paint and can therefore ensure that we meet any specifications you make.
We pay special attention to keeping the job site clean. Whether we are working inside or out, we use drop sheets extensively. We do a daily clean-up that includes vacuuming, dusting and picking up debris. We also do a thorough clean-up on exterior grounds so that unsightly paint chips and dust do not remain on your lawn or shrubbery. We clean up even the tiniest of paint specks or drips, if any have occurred, before we call a job done.
We take special care to protect your furniture and household items. We are, of course, fully insured, but beyond that we do take special precautions to avoid any damage or wear on your furnishings.
We present free written estimates before any work is begun. You will have completely detailed and written specifications about the job to be done so that there will be no surprise additional costs. The original price, agreed upon, will remain firm.
We schedule your job as our priority. Once your job is started, we will carry it through to completion without late starts, short days or our having to go off to any other jobs.
We have more than thirty years of experience in the painting and decorating business. Our clients have confidence in us; 90% of our business comes from repeat customers and their referrals.
Our results are to full customer satisfaction.

Interior/Exterior Painting
Preparation is the cornerstone of any quality painting project.
Inside, we caulk all the joints in your trim and also all the seams where trim meets the walls. We sand all surfaces and vacuum and wipe them so they are completely dust free before we begin painting. We do the same again between each coat of paint.
If you have chosen to wallpaper rather than paint, we make certain that your walls are completely smooth and properly sized first. Our professional installers then ensure the paper is hung evenly with tight seams and with proper pattern matching. Even your wall plates can be covered with seamless patterns if you wish.
Outside, we remove any loose or failing paint and sand these areas smooth. We caulk and re-glaze windows as needed so that all moisture is sealed out. We wash off any mildew we find. Only then do we apply the paint, smoothly and evenly. We ensure that the paint is fully brushed or rolled out so that it has no ridges, runs or unsightly brush marks anywhere on the outside surfaces of your house.
Wood Roof and Deck Maintenance
The life span of your wood roof or your deck can be greatly increased with periodic pressure washing. We remove dirt, moss, mildew and dead wood fibers to lessen deterioration. Then we apply an appropriate preservative or coating to further extend the life of the wood.
Faux Finishes
Our craftsmen are able to provide a variety of specialty finishes to increase the aesthetic appeal of each room in your home. We not only do rag rolling and sponging, but our experts are also skilled in the more complex and delicate techniques such as glazing and marbleizing.
Our only limit is your imagination.

Environmental Impact
Everett-Kayser Painting is a strong advocate for the use of environmentally-friendly products.
New low or 0% VOC (volatile organic compounds)* coatings have been introduced by all of the major paint manufacturers and we have field tested and used these products with great success, on both interior and exterior projects.
We are committed to using these products, whenever possible, to give you a quality paint job with the lowest impact on both the environment and the air quality of your home.
* "Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are emitted as gases from certain solids or liquids. VOCs include a variety of chemicals, some of which may have short- and long-term adverse health effects. Concentrations of many VOCs are consistently higher indoors (up to ten times higher) than outdoors. VOCs are emitted by a wide array of products numbering in the thousands. Examples include: paints and lacquers, paint strippers, cleaning supplies, pesticides, building materials and furnishings, office equipment such as copiers and printers, correction fluids and carbonless copy paper, graphics and craft materials including glues and adhesives, permanent markers, and photographic solutions."
